Step 1: Enable Text-To-Speech
- Navigate to Text-To-Speech: Use your screen reader to locate the "Text-To-Speech" option in the settings menu.
- Activate Text-To-Speech: Once located, move the slider to the right to enable Text-To-Speech.
Step 2: Edit Text-To-Speech Settings
- Access Voice Settings: Find and select the "Edit Text-To-Speech" option. Your screen reader will guide you through the menu.
- Select Google Voice: In the voice settings, choose "Google Voice" from the list of available voice options.
Step 3: Choose Language and Accent
- Select Language: On the left side, you have to select the language which you would like to use. Use your screen reader to navigate through the list of languages.
- Select Accent: On the right side, choose the desired accent if available for the selected language. Your screen reader will read out the options as you navigate.
Step 4: Select a Voice
- View Available Voices: All available voices for the selected language and accent will be listed. Your screen reader will announce each voice as you navigate through the list.
- Choose a Voice: Tap on the voice you would like to use. This will add it to your Text-To-Speech chat settings. Your screen reader should confirm the selection.
Step 5: Configure Allowed Users
- Access Allowed Users Settings: Navigate to the "Allowed Users" section using your screen reader.
- Select Users: Choose which users' messages will be read using Text-To-Speech. Options include Followers, Subscribers, Moderators, Team Members and Top Gifters. Your screen reader will announce each option as you navigate.
- Enable All Users (Optional): If you want messages from every user to be read out by Text-To-Speech, move the slider on the right side at "Allow users" to the right. Your screen reader should announce that all users are enabled.
Step 6: Configure Command Types
- Navigate to Command Types: Find the "Command Types" section using your screen reader.
- Select Comment Types: The default setting is "Any Comment." You can also select that every comment has to start with a dot (.), slash (/), or comments starting with both dot (.) and slash (/). Your screen reader will announce each option as you navigate.
Step 7: Configure Spam Protection
- Navigate to Spam Protection: Find the "Spam Protection" section using your screen reader.
- Set Cooldown for Users: Adjust the cooldown time for any users. Your screen reader will announce the current setting as you navigate.
- Set Queue for Messages: Configure the queue for messages. Your screen reader will guide you through the options.
- Set Maximum Comment Length: Adjust the maximum comment length. Your screen reader will announce the current setting.
- Set Letter Spamming Filter: Configure the filter for letter spamming. Your screen reader will guide you through the options.
